Eurypyga helias

One bird that I was surprised to see so many of in the Pantanal was the Sunbittern. This one was foraging around a large puddle that had formed in the road from a recent rain. I was pleased that it let me get fairly close and even let me lay down on the ground for a nice low angle shot.
