I took a number of shots of this moth/butterfly??? Depending on the light, which ranged from full sun to darker shade, the colour varied from a slate grey to a darker charcoal. Because I can't be certain which colour was true, and because of my lack of knowledge about moths/butterflies, I haven't been able to identify it. I can say it looks like it's had a rough life and some close escapes.
