I like the expression and the b/w version.

Lovely portrait of a lovely lady Mikey! She looks to be full of life and you did a good job catching this expression in the low light! :-) CJ

Thanks for commenting, folks. I'm glad you like this image. The way it stands, her face is very much untouched in the conversion process, just a bit of contrast, curves and H&S. I didn't even run a noise filter, but did blur the background (my new favorite tool). Seems pretty good for available low-light (fluorescent) @ iso1600. I'm pleased with the 20D's noise performance here. I'll explain the circumstances of the shot after the Challenge period ends. ";^) Cheers, -mikey

This is great Mikey. There is plenty of depth even with you contrast adjustment. -COAmature

Good adjustment Mikey. Wouldn't have been possible in the old days after it's been through the chemicals. The glow is more natural now. -tv

It is so wonderful to see smiles and joy and a glimmer of young youth in this image. Very emotive and very fun. Perfect. jano

You're right on the Tri-X look, Tommy. Granted; too grainy. I smoothed it out a shade. Its still pretty contrasty and she is glowing, isn't she? ":^) Thanks for the comment, Tommy. Cheers, -mikey
