Great idea John, and well done! It invites the viewer to examine it to see just how it was created. CJ

All that trouble was worth the interesting result. Getting unique looks like this will be hard in this challenge. -COAmature

Yes, indeed. A very find example, John!. I think this has all the charms and look age brings to a photo. The face and eye so near to the edge produces several chains of thoughts and is very successfully done. I think PP would just hurt this photo than do any good. The charm will be lost with PP on this.

Thank you Rod for mentioning the Mona Lisa. Actually an interesting contrast here with that painting - a rather sly, mysterious Mona Lisa and a more mature modern mother minding her child. (The Mona Lisa is a "classic" example of the centered eye in portraiture.) Tricky shot, John, works well. -tv

Very well done John you went to a lot of trouble & it worked very well. The reflection of your Daughter looks very reminiscent of the Mona Lisa painting. Good onya mate:-)

We have two wonderful 30" poster size pictures of my daughter Micaela when she was around one. This morning I saw my wife's reflection in this one which gave me the idea.

Since I don't have any kind of lighting equipment, this turned out harder than I expected. They were leaving in an hour for a week so I had to improvise. Her fiancee is trying to hold the picture still near the window in such a way to point extra reflections into the dark hallway. She is trying to hold still while her son is pulling on her leg. I am trying to direct her into her own head's shadow while holding my breath and squatting to steady the shot at 1/4s (don't have a tripod that allows me to take this vertically).

Tried to get close to the thirds but her expression and the movement of all involved was tricky at best. John
