Thanks Brent. I'm finally warming up to B/W's. I was resistant for a while. As for playing the guitar it's like almost anything else. Anyone can do it but not everyone is great at it. -Doug

I'm finally getting around to commenting and have to say I prefer this B&W version Doug. Nice work- I envy you being able to play the guitar!

Thanks. I don't look as young with the rest of my head in the picture. I'm 36. -Doug

Nice one Doug, I like the B/w version and you look very young. :)

Good idea Fred. I added a little contrast. -Doug

I think it looks better in B&W, but think it may need a tad more contrast though..it's a bit flat. Cropping and compo wise ait works very well.
Cheers!
Fred

OK. Here is a B&W version. To see it in color (it was partially desaturated) check over at pending. -Doug

Thanks guys. Very impressive Murph with the Guild D4 pick up. It is an absolutely incredible instrument. After 22 years I still need plenty of practice. As for the B&W, mine usually just look grey so I shy away from them. Any actions I should know about? -Doug

Concur with Rod on B&W conversion. - RK

Couldn't be a Guild D4 could it??? If so, I have have a question for you.
P.S.- Dont you love the smell?? (thats not my question)

Possibly a good candidate for a b&W version so the shadows work better. Good boy for practising:-)

Thanks Bruce but it's not cropped so I may have to shoot it again. Thank you Canon for the flip and twist, it's a self portrait. -Doug

This definitely works. The grain complements the moody concentration of the artisit. I only wish there was more of the blurred hand on the left. Maybe a wider crop? -- Bruce
