I guess I agree with most of the previous comments. I have to say that if grainy color ever works for me it is in a mostly one color situation like you have here. I like the negative space, but do wish for either more birds or different positioning of the ones that are present a little- if only we could better direct nature for our images!

I agree wiv Fred, I think if there was another twenty birds on the branch it could work wiv this composition.

This one doesn't do much for me I'm afraid. Actually I think the noise detracts rather than adds quality to the shot. Compo doesn't work as there's too much negative space and no obvious point of interest in the image.

It certainly does have negative space. Maybe a little much though. I'd like to see more of those birds. -COAmature

Lee is right. This would have been great in the last comp. It works well here too, though. The grain in the yellow is startling and it gives a sense of the rickety nature of the branch. I might copy some of those red wings and give them to the rest of the birds. Rod would really appreciate that! -- Bruce
