K, I'm on my way. It's a bit of a long swim though isn't it? I may need some fatty bits when I get there. Warn Mareana. :)

Thanks Alexeig:-)

Oh yes, the most important of all: great feeling of wide wide space and a bit of loneliness too.
alexeig26-Jan-2006 08:55
Great color and compo, I see nothing to nitpick here. Nothing to subtract or add too. Congratulations, one of your best pictures so far (from what I have seen).
ctfchallenge25-Jan-2006 19:44
It works Rod :)
I was just thinking the big rock there sorta has a character of it's own. Takes a bit of the focus away from the tree and lovely scene but I'm totally fine with it there. All natural art!

Rod 25-Jan-2006 11:47
Thanks Yvonne:-) & Techo the bleeding rock is wot makes this shot art instead of just another pretty shot mate. I've just joined the Shu school of subtlety & class, so I don't want too much pop:-) Do you like the level horizen?:-)
ctfchallenge25-Jan-2006 07:23
Rod, delete this shot......right now! And never enter another like it. Give a girl a chance. Yvonne

nice! such the perfect landscape for this challenge. Great find and capture!.
(*)minor detail, if you can clone out the big rock on their on the beach and add a little more contrast and brightess , I think it would make this one pop even more nicely than it is now.
-Techo :)

Thanks all:-) I have even straightened the horizon to maximize me vote:-)

All three you posted are very nice Rod, but this one I like best. Very nice job.

Very nice landscape Rod. I like the colors, the composition and the way the little stream flows past the lone tree. CJ
Photogenix24-Jan-2006 00:21
Rod, what happened to the pictures of the models?
Like this picture...the lone tree really adds impact.
I am not sure if its my eye...but find the horizon bit tilted.

This is really lovely Rod - i love the colors of brown, blue and green. The sky doesn't bother me at all. Composition and exposure wonderfully set. This is perfect! jano

Your catching up on the Ladies with this one! The composition and colours are great. It's a pity that the early morning light has made the skye a bit bland, but apart from that, this is up there with the best of them. :-)

Thanks Tomas & Pedro:-) I had to chuckle at you both being surprised I posted some half decent shots:-)hehe
Guest 23-Jan-2006 02:38
Rod, you are surprising me. Excellent shots, and excellent landscapes! This compo is superb.
ctfchallenge22-Jan-2006 16:53
This is a very amazing series of yours, Rod. Lucky day I guess? I like them all very much, really. Tomas
ctfchallenge22-Jan-2006 12:13
Rod,

I like the play of colors. The blue, red and green.

* You need to rotate slightly to get the horizon level.
* May also want to play with the curves to add a little more punch to the distant clouds. Just a thought.
