* Swings on the Beach

Roslyn Harbor, Long Island NY

I love my island! There are so many pretty places to stumble
upon. I took a road I never took before off another I've driven
a zillion times. There were surprises around every bend. :)

I love the coloring you achieved with processing. Great details too.

Have you done any pp on that?It seems like it has a subtle blur but yet its quite sharp! Really a dreamy feeling!!!!:)
I too would like to see that white paper off... ~Canoneer

This REALLY works for me! Love the shadows and the best thing is that (and perhaps this is the fish eye lens, not sure) the swingset seems fairly level, but the background is tilted. Very beautiful indeed and like "something from a dream". Nitpick: The white "garbage bag?" that is there is the photo on the end of the pole... and there is an over saturation of green on the right which personally i think should have been toned down. Other than those two nitpicks...this is really a beautiful image. It could be be improved with some cloning and partial desat in those two areas. jano

It was actually taken around 12:30 in the afternoon. Oddly, I see the exif says it was taken at 7:30 in the morning. I just checked the camera and the time is currently correct. How can it come out wrong in the exif? I liked the dreamy feel of the tinting. It was one of those things where I felt something was missing. I was about to delete it and decided instead to play around. When I got it to this point I couldn't part with it. LOL! Thanks for commenting. :) ~ Lonnit

This is a great shot, really. I like the light and shadows. The fisheye lens and the tilt give it a surreal feel. Rich
