* Under the Bridge

Queens, NY

Yes, the highlight in the middle was just unavoidable. There was no
way for me to get out of the car and set up a tripod in the middle
of the street to get multiple exposures for blending. This was the
best exposure of the bunch, so here it is. BH or not, I like it. ;)

*Sorry Lonnit, but ... the only comment which I can muster is: why have you shot this image?

I agree that this scene has some great potential shots with all the geometric contrasts. I like the treatment.

See, we have to mention the elephant in the room! LOL! The thing is that it's really pretty dark under there. I'd never get the underside and the sky in the same shot. I'll have to use a tripod and take a few bracketed frames. I'll also have to play around with the passing cars b/c the changing positions will be problematic. Thanks for the input! :) ! Lonnit

This image is very nice and it draws the eye right to the middle beam. But, I can't say I like the bh and I understand that it was unavoidable. Again, another shot that has potential if taken the time. Heck... why not take the time to park the car, go to the next beams and shoot, off the roadway? I think the underlayings of the bridge might be very interesting with a properly exposed sky off to the right. Just thoughts... :) jano

LOL! Yes, the image is soft and somewhat glowy. :) ~ Lonnit

Do I detect a kind of glow here, Lonnit? Did you use some filters in PS? Or are my eyes just tired from spending too much time at this computer today?

Thanks Rich. Again, I aligned the angle of the edge of the road with the bottom of the frame. It's more subtle in this image, but like you say, I felt it was plenty. Thanks for commenting. ~ Lonnit

I like the "slight" tilt here, its just enough. Rich
