I guess I'm odd man out here - the colors are a bit strange for my taste. Ok, yes, I do like strange when it's edgy. It almost works for me - maybe if the sky wasn't blue at all and went towards green or some other color. What I do like about it is that it looks like it's Mars or some other planet - the terrain is somewhat otherworldly and the board/boat looks liek a cheesy little kiddie show rocket, from the fifties, ready for launch. So, that being the case, I'd turn the sky to an unearthly color and really go for the alien feel. Then I think I'd really like it. It's a good composition and a good feel. My uneasiness with it lies in the fact that it wasn't pushed far enough. If you're going to break the rules, you can't just dent them, you must shatter them. Othewise, it looks more like an error or misjudgement. You've got to go far enough over the line to make people certain it's intentional. The more I look at it the more I like it. Maybe just bring the violet filter all the way up so there's no blue and all, only violet and then this would be kicking some arse! ;) ~ Lonnit

I used filters to intensify the colours.

Eric, the color palette here looks as if produced with some kind of colored glass put in front of the camera (or similar thing in PS)

I like the post processing of this ~ the colors are very nice. I like the gradient used. Nice job.

My, I really like the title to the photo - an abandoned lifeguard station, The color is very pleasant but seems a bit to saturated towards the bottom of the photo for my taste - but yet I like it - it could be because of the setting sun? If so, then the color is perfect. Really nice shot! jano

I can't believe how much erosion from the tide was on that beach.
