Shu, this is lovely. The architecture is fantastic. I need to visit Yale. (I wish I would have had my camera when I was at Princeton. It's a fabulous campus.) Very nice framing and the blue is such a fantastic shade, it compliments the grays very nicely. I love this image!

Thanks, guys. Desat made the blue drapery stand out even more......you all would have noticed this scene had you been there and would have probably snapped it before I could have even put the camera to my eye! Thanks to all of you, with your different styles, I've attempted to try other subjects to photograph and now realize just how hard it is to shoot, lets say, landscapes and portraits. shu

Nice work on partial saturation. Did not guess at all from the thumbnail that it was yours... -Cat

Shu, even you succumbed to partial desaturation ...

I imagine Dracula hidden in the dark with his fangs out. I like the photo. Has a gothic feel to it.

I'm glad you understand the caption on this, Jano. It was taken last weeklend at the Yale campus in New Haven, Ct. This is a second floor window with the actual blue drapery billowing in the breeze. I thought the curtin , due to its color, was beckoning to passersby and believed the image would be great for the challenge with a twist on the meaning "alone." shu

Shu - I really like the partial desat and lighting in this shot. Not sure I would enter the doorway as it has kind of a creepy feeling but yet intriguing. I take it as though the viewer of this image (me) is "all alone" vs. the actual image portraying this - and that's why I like it - it's a different spin on the interpretation :) jano
