If it were me, this little donut would not be lonely for long!! Detail is really excellent here. All the mess is evident that this box was full. Creative interpretation of the theme. jano

This makes me so hungry! I love your interpretation of the theme!

It works well now for me Brent & we can come to our own interpretation by using your image & our imagination. Excellent mate.

Uploaded improved image and shortened title as per great suggestions.
Thanks all!

Hi Brent :)
I see what you're saying. So the top stays uncropped. Then perhaps an approx. 1/10 crop off the bottom, to also get rid of the really OOF frosting crumb. The crumbs surrounding the donut I like, since it does add so the story of the lone donut but the few ones closer to the bottom are a little distracting.

I agree with your thoughts on the crumbs etc Brent, but the overly descriptive titles spoil the shots. They help to prevent the viewer from arriving at their own interpretation, the very basis of art & photography. Frames & sigs do the same. The only influence the photographer should have on the viewer is the photograph, anything else is smoke & mirrors mate. Well done on creating your shot, I like it:-)

I much appreciate everyone’s input and may still make changes based on feedback. I tried cropping it, and indeed it focused more attention on the doughnut. But I think Rich understands why I was hesitant to crop it. This poor little eccentric doughnut is abandoned at the bottom of a box without even the dignity of having the lid closed to keep it fresh. I liked and even added the crumbs and grease spots all around it, as they are evidence of being the last one left of a dozen.

Just looks too messy for me.
You need really to pick up all those crumbs, possibly a better shot would have been from the top on a clean surface with maybe just one sprinkle at a distance from the donought.

Excellent shot, but imho I would leave the top of box as it gives a better sense of location and the fact that box was left open shows it was abandoned, so sad.

I get hungry :-) ...and agree with Techo, would consider to crop out a bit from the top and the bottom to frame the yummie :) ~ Armin

Sweeet! this is great. Either this is a good sign for the person who loves sprinkles or a bad sign that just one is left ;)
(*) perhaps a crop off the top and a little off the bottom, so we just get to see the inside of the box? so there are less distracting elements and all focus is on the donut. But that's just me. I wonder what the rest of the teams thinks.
