Urban Cactus (*)

Tucson

The one thing that sets Tucson apart from everywhere else (outside Mexico) is the Saguaro Cactus. If you've seen one in a western, then it was probably filmed at 'Old Tucson Studios' just outside town.

I only realised the compositional imbalance of this shot when I got home. I was trying to fit the Aloe into the photo, but in doing so upset the position of the cactus/traffic lights. Ooops. Yes, the sprouting of the lights from the cactus is deliberate.
