I like the effect of the warm light on the diners against the cool tones of the building. The inclusion of the door on the second floor is perfect.

Many thanks, Markjay, for commenting on my image. At the time I shot it, I did not—of course—think about comfort zones, but was just fascinated by the light differences between the three levels (street, restaurant, façade); maybe I wanted *too* much in one picture?? (Shooting from street level, BTW, would have been impossible, IMHO: in front of the motorcycles there is no room for photographers but just water ... this is a fishermen's seaport, and I was taking the picture from a dyke.) — db.

Hey db, I like what you were trying to do here with this scene. Since you asked (*) I'd have to say that one way that would dramatically improve the imapact of this image (and the goal of conveying a personal touch) would be to have photographed this from the street level. Maybe even zoom in on one group of people or couple? I realize you may not have had time to do that, on that particular day. Markjay
