Marsh Wren Singing (*)

Tennant Lake, Washington

I followed the songs of the Marsh Wrens all day yesterday unable fo find the birds until the very end of the day when I saw this one across the field in a tree. You can't imagine how amazing their song is. They have many different songs that they sing and the sound is very tantalizing.

I should have added that this picture probably brings home the topic more to people who are familiar with wren song. You've pictured a wren that looks about as jubilant as they sound. -- Victor

Hi TheFly... It was an overcast day so that is how it was. I did use curves to make it fully white and brighten up the shot a bit. Ann
