Ann, thank you for commenting. The shot was taken below a north facing window, it's quite a nice soft light. I did deliberately underexpose the shot to try and ensure that I didn't loose any highlights on the reflections on the onions. However, I did like the dark look to the pic and aside from backing off the contrast a little and some sharpening for the web resize, I didn't do much in the way of post processing.
