The boats are straight from the camera Konstantin. They were in dry dock so I had to add the water in:-)
aam1234 04-Apr-2009 00:30
"ruin" that is.
ctfchallenge03-Apr-2009 11:44
Rod, I gave my eyes 10 secs ... and now my right eye locks on to the boat in the LEFT corner & simultaneously my left eye locks on to the boat in the RIGHT corner.
Did you replace the boats in PP ????????
Konstantin

Thanks Carole, Mary Anne, Aamm & Aamm:-) I tried this in B&W & it didn't look so good until i whanged up the Lucis filter & then it looked too ahrty for me so it was back to the colour one.
I think my highest score so far Mary Anne is -10 so I think -20 is a great improvement a:-)

NOOOO to Black & White! It will this great photo!

I think I'm getting seasick down here at water level. Is that +20 or -20?

VERY nice one Rod, with great detail from front to back. While I like all the blues here, did you try an aaaaaarty B&W? :-) CJ

Thanks Konstantin & Aamm:-) I didn't post this before thinking it wasn't corner centric enough. I did get some picys with one of the boats with red sails which would draw the eye to the corner but the spacings between the boats didn't look right.

I also agree with Doug & Tom. Man O man, this is simply a great photo. A clap to ma mate, Rod. Rod, if you move this anywhere I'll come to OZland and kick some behinds :)

Rod,
too much water (-10pp), the boats are moving same directions - very boring (-20pp), the eye is lead to the center, looking for the dolphins (off topic -30pp), the boats are too small, I can not see the girl on the first one (-200pp), basically all boats are the same (painted differently in PP using Lucis filters (-oo pp). All together - I really love this one. It is not only absolute on topic OMO (on natural way, not because of artificial cropping) and is also just a good picture ... but ...

Thanks Penny:-)

Doug and Tommy beat me to it. There's not much more to say, is there..
Okay, maybe I could mention the lovely blues. This is really fun a
This is a fabulous Water picy too.

Thanks Tommy:-) Well it only took about twenty picys to get a goodun so I think another .26789 for effort would take me to a perfect score a.................plus an airfare on Afghan airways.
ctfchallenge02-Apr-2009 04:00
Two signs of a great picy: 1. I want it on my wall, and 2. I want to go there. This has both. New Rodrule: picys of three sailboats may not be moved or replaced. A nearly perfect score of 6.974321 plus airfare. -tv

Your reaction was just wot I was after Doug. My thinking was that after waking up from fainting the viewer first view back in the world would this picy which should then align itself to the joy the viewer feels at not being deaded:-)
ctfchallenge02-Apr-2009 02:06
My right eye locked on the left boat and my left eye the right. I quickly got a head ache then fainted. When I woke up I noticed the pleasing colors of not only the water but how well all the colors blend together. The middle boat is necessary because it keeps the eyes from bouncing from side to side. -Doug

I know I know, You're going to say that your eyes go to the middle boat but just give it 10 secs & something amazing happens. Your right eye will lock on to the boat in the right corner & simultaneously your left eye will lock on to the boat in the left corner. I don't think this has bin done before in the history of photography......Am I good ....or wot.
