Thank you all for your comments.
Penny, Drop me an e-mail when you are planning to come. I can point you to the right direction. Expect an e-mail for a cup of coffee when I come to NYC though ;)
CJ, Yes indeed it is massive. I expected it to be big but not at this scale (66 feet~20m tall).
Rod, It was one of those rare days we get a proper ray of sunlight in the UK. 1/125s @ f/7.1, ISO100 is a dream here :)
Steve, You should visit it if you are from around here. Its a lot better from up close.

Great image, it makes me think what I am seeing. I see below the other shots of this, what an amazing sculpture.

Rod
Nicely done Chris with everything as clear as a bell.

Wow, that's quite a statue Christakis and you did a good job of framing it for the challenge. The last picture in your series really shows how huge it is with the person standing at the base of it. CJ

and I'm looking forward to it - I visted once in 1983, I believe.

Penny, Penny... No this is "Angel" as in "saint". It is part of the sculpture "Angel of the North" by Antony Gormley.

Here are some pictures of it:

I know - this is supposed to be ANGLE (as in geometry) - or is it?

Amm, TV and Doug, Thank you for your comments. Doug I did try another shot with more grass in when I was shooting it but it doesn't look right. It also lacks the "fade to the corner" effect. Note that this picture hasn't been cropped. ~Christakis

Interesting view. It fits the topic but it makes me want to see more of the grass/field. -Doug

I like the thought in this - a stage without performers so to speak with edge and corner interest all around and only negative space in the middle so full of anticipation. -tv

Very nice, Christakis. My kind of photos.
