The more I look at this the more interesting it gets. I notice, for example, that the picture is leaning to the right measured relative to vertical. You can tell by the small drips as well as the discolored red. If the picture were rotated so that the vertical were lined up, then it would look like the water was going uphill.
On the other hand, looking at the detail in the shadows (the framework for the other side of what appears to be a pitched roof), there seems to be another roof surface angled complementary to this one, which would mean the picture is not tilted at all.
The optical illusion is exaggerated by the foreshortening resulting from the long focal length used. -- Victor
