I asploded the pressbox at Kinnick Stadium at the University of Iowa just so I could photograph it for you people.

this is cool Grant. The other day, not ure if you saw it, but they had a demolition on TV news where the building didn't quite actually fall...its base fell and that's it...

Anyhoo...this is a cool series. I'd love to take a photo of an event like this!

A little bit of both...I knew about it but forgot when it was supposed to happen. I was on call Friday night and was in the OR from 3 am until about 8. On my way back to my office, I saw a small crowd of people with cameras and asked what was going on. They told me about the demolition and I kicked myself for leaving my camera at home. BTW, I have that dream (nightmare) at least once a week-you would think I would learn. But I remembered the 1DsII in the office so I got that instead. Here is a video of the demolition:

I called a couple of the papers in the area to see if they wanted the pictures (for free) and they were surprisingly uninterested. Oh well...

What a great opportunity to be able to be present when this occurred. I love watching building demo on TV. Neat!
