Cindy - No, I didn't use a filter - just stopped the lens down. I played with that on a few shots that day and seemed like F/11.0 and smaller gave me a nice star pattern. Bernie

Love it - two of my favorite subjects - water reflections and backlight all in one. Did you use a starburst filter? cindy
