While this image may not be technically ideal, the photo is interesting to
me in that it was shot without the use of any type of camera filter.

During the fires in San Diego back in October 2003 the sky was so black
with smoke that I was able to shoot this photo of the sun directly and unfiltered.

The image is as it came out of the camera with just a small crop and simple line
to serve as a border around the outer edge.
