Thanks for the comments. I got lucky with this shot. This pelican was at the far bank of a slough, too far to shoot, but I stopped there to take the Great Blue Heron shot in Exhibition. Then the pelican came flying towards me. I even had to zoom out to get a second shot. --Garrett

I've been trying to make pictures of the brown pelicans that frequent my area for months ad have not captured anything nearly as good as this. Nice work.
