You did a nice job with your plasma lamp. I would be willing to bet that a horizontal orientation and a crop out of the bottom of your lamp, would like awesome! It would lead the eye side to side through your image, dancing in the light :-) Markjay

I feel like I should embark on some complex explanation involving microwaves ovens, vacuum pumps and rare gases, but it’s actually pretty straight forward. It’s the bottom section of a cylindrical plasma lamp, which works on the same principle as those plasma spheres you might have seen in stores. I shot it in the dark against a black card and did a little bit of work in Photoshop. - Jon S
