Excellent! I happen to like the composition, the rainbow layout of the colors and, the eye is lead RIGHT to the center of that "wheel" ;-) Nice work. Markjay

Simple and effective idea! Could have worked on a black background as well, but usually one would prefer to use these on white paper, I guess, so... --Olaf

Vikas,
Your thought about the darker colors possibly making the image top heavy is something I had not thought about but it's very true. Thanks for adding your thoughts. Being able to understand the thought process of the artist really helps us grow. Roberta

Dear Earl, thank you for your comments and appreciate them. Reason I chose the lighter colours to fill more of the frame, is primarily because I have a bias towards earthy colours which is why I gave them more prominence in this photograph. Also, if I did the same thing with the darker colours, it may have made the photograph top heavy which could have reduced it's effectiveness. Regarding my other image, Refraction, that was done with three sheets of coloured paper combined to make the background. ..... Vikas

Very clever idea, and very nicely done. I love the sharpness letting you almost feel the texture of the wood. How did you decide on which colors to give to most of the frame. I like what you did, and I think I would have given the darker colors more of the frame instead which might not have worked as well. You are very creative. (BTW, did you have the pencils out to make the background for the refraction photo :) E-

Vikas,
Excellent shot. The placement of the colored pencils is perfect as the points meet following the rule of thirds. This would make a great poster for my classroom. Fine work! Roberta
