I was going to comment on the partial rose on the left even before reading Olaf's comment. I think it can be cropped out without also cropping on the right. Aside from this one flaw, this is a very fine image. --Garrett

This rose looks very fresh and delicate indeed! Very nice shot!!! Nice lighting and high-key background. I don't care that much for the partial roses on the left - especially the lower one kind of tilts the balance. Maybe cropping it out (just enough to get it outside the frame) and also cropping on the right to make the photo square would work better? I am usually not that fond of the square format, so the best would be to just not have them there, with more white and out of focus leaves instead [leaving the frame as it is]. --Olaf

The rose petals are indeed very delicate, silky and beautiful. The blurred background is very pleasing and the colors are gorgeous. Roberta

I selected this image because I liked the balance between the red and the green. The balance seems 'right' to my eyes. I also like how delicate the petals on the rose appears. -Neil
