Sorry if this has nothing to do with the movie. I've never actually seen it. Just a silly idea I had....

This final version was worth all the hassle!

Excellent rendering of the impression of movement. Congratulations.

Good choice on ramping up the hand opacity. As has been said, now it MOVES! -Ed Hahn

I agree, this one seems to work best for me. I liked the previous one (with 11 of the hands all the same reduced opacity) the least of this image. I think the solid hands looked better than that one. However, this one with each hand getting less and less opaque is my favorite. Nice job. -Earl Waud

I like this a lot more - it gives a sense of movement. - Ralph Otto

Ok, the final version! Hahaha... well I think staggering the opacity was the way to go. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Yo, gene. Doesn't have to fit the movie. Just the movie title. That's what the challenge is after all. Can't think of anything that says the hours more than this. Actually Eric I preferred the original! But the consecutively faded idea I think would work best.

Eric – Yes a little movement or different coloring of the clock hands would have added a little something to this shot. Just looks a little sterile to me. Don’t know if it fits the movie either?

Eric,
What about gradually fading the hour hands - i.e. 10 at 90%, 9 at 80% all the way to 1 at 10% ??? I like the concept - Ralph Otto

Ok, so I tried fading hours 1-10. Whaddya think? -Eric

I agree with Olaf...it would give the sense of time passing (nothing beats saving everying with all your layers intact)...I like the shot, the title works perfectly.

Thanks Olaf. I was kind of thinking the same thing. Good thing I saved a copy with the layers still separate. I'll do that tonight!

Did you consider fading the extra hands more and more? I think this would give the image a more universal theme of time passing by... — Olaf
