I like the addition of the moon, it gives the piece a bit more balance, and an added connection.

Thanks Olaf. As you suggested, I added a bit more on the right. I couldn't resist putting a moon in orbit about the 'planet'. -johnebones

I like this! Very creative! The hard directional light is perfect for this shot. The highlight specs on the apple doesn't bother me. I think I would have liked more of the black space to the right (more panoramic, or at least the standard 2:3, aspect ratio). >< Olaf

Gene, I realize that using an apple as a heavenly body is a stretch. The blurred stars are supposed to resemble the bright points on the apple. Would adding a moon or sharpening the background be an improvement ? -johnebones

Johnebones – OK OK but it still says forbidden fruit to me. Like the shot though, except the star’s effect sort of continues onto the apple would have liked to seen more of a contrast there?
