Wild fires in San Diego are burning out of control.

I took this photo this morning from my driveway.

Earl – Glad to hear you escaped any harm. Great shot of the disaster, sort of documentary looking.

Thanks everyone for your concerns. The fire in my area is nearly contained now, and we are breathing more easily, if not literally, at least figurative. We have unpacked our cars and are trying to get things back to normal. Hopefully firefighters will get the other fires under controls soon. Thanks also for your kind words about my photo. -Earl Waud

A very impactful shot! The touch of blue sky gives a hint of the peace that would normally surround the area.
I hope you and your family remain well and safe. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, your family and neighbors.

Dog! You beat me to it! (Earl and I are neighbors). Earl, I liked what your wife said when I stopped by recently. I asked "Was Earl able to post any shots on the web of the fires?". She answered - "Oh yeah! He put one up for the competition! Like that's important!!" Apparently, she was busy packing and getting her house organized! Great dedication, Earl! Good job! Looks like "On Golden Pond" is more golden than we thought! - RO

Jeez. I come across this pic just as the news here in th UK was running. I had no idea this was going on. Makes the view from my house look very safe and uninteresting. Hope your not affected too badly Earl.
