Ha ha! Thanks Phil - I make use of Chor Eng whenever I can. He is a permanent prop in my travel photography!
I appreciate your comment because it shows that you share your love of wide-angle photography with me - distortion and all! Not many serious photographers share my views. There are many technical buffs out there who treat distortion like a disease, as they do with incorrect exposure. For me, things like this distorted monument, and the fact that it is completely black and underexposed makes a bigger impact in what it's trying to communicate than a correctly exposed, perspective-corrected image ever will! So, I am glad you enjoyed my point of view!
Glad you found use for Chor, here -- he makes the shot in terms of scale incongruity. The wideangle distortion is spectacular as well, as is the framing and the sun bursting through the clouds. And poor Chor sees none of this -- he is looking the other way! Wonderful.
