"Fermented Soil"

oil on canvas, by Hans Hoffman, 1965

My first visit to the renovated National Portrait Gallery/American Art Gallery.

My parade photos are boring, I got there late. Fireworks are rumbling as I type. Someday I'll go down again to watch them.

Nikon D200 ,Nikkor 35mm f/2D AF
1/100s f/2.5 at 35.0mm iso800 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

I know how you feel Mark, Plymouth holds and massive fireworks competition every year and i have managed to miss every one so far, one day...possibly.....nah!
Not sure if i understand art but i like this for its honesty and rich colour.

A conceptualization of contemporary (sixties) culture-fermented reality..

Very very cool. Love the energy in these strokes. Top marks well seen.

I'm skipping fireworks also. This is your own version of splendid color. Nicely taken Mark.
