The drought in the mountains has certainly affected the Fall colors and the amount the streams are flowing towards water falls and the hidden valleys within this mountain range. The good news was that there are small pockets of "color" in isolated areas due to the nature of these historic homeland hills. All in all this annual pilgrimage to my ancestral territory was a peaceful (even though in the 70s in the evenings) rest stop in a busy and confused world that is today.
