Due to a death in the annual Halloween visit to Gatlinburg, the assignments was finished in late November for Thanksgiving. These are the few snap shots which was made during this trip. A lot of "Smoky" smoke and real fire smoke, the chances for clear clean photos were limited.
The Christmas lights were finally up in Gatlinburg and in Pigeon Forge creating a hopeful scene for celebration of our Lord's birth. Much of what was is now just memories and scenes captured by photographs.
For us, our exit on Sunday was most beneficial to us and not that community. During the first of the next week that area was ravaged by multiple fires destroying historic and business property as well as human life and personal property. Prayers are for those victims. Hopefully in the Spring a party of us can go back and help with the restoration process in that wondrous forest area.
