While strolling past a Bluebird nesting box, I noticed these feathers at the base of the pole stand. Since they were pulled from a larger bird...it can be imagined that the pair of Bluebirds safely defended their nest. After moving some thirty feet from the box, the pair of Bluebirds returned to it to insure all was safe within it. Their actions tribute to the duties of being a parent.
