Today the sky was overcast, cloudy, and rainy with winds gusting.....as the first photo indicates a fine day for shadow profile photos when shooting flying birds. So what to do? At the refuge there are many forms of wildlife in nature so flora and fauna was the main target this early Spring day with a sprinkling of birds and insects. There is always something to photograph and admire at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Wheeler Wildlife Refuge....if you will only slow down and look closely at what is at your feet or just above your head or just around the trail.
