Many houses where Beethoven lived still exist, now serving as memorials, especially in Bonn (his birthplace) and Vienna, where he lived for most of his life. These include the Pasqualati House (Mölker Bastei 8) and the house at Pfarrplatz 2 (Heiligenstadt Testament). Apartments in Baden and Mödling also commemorate him, often marked with plaques or open to the public as museums.

Beethoven was not a settled person. It's hard to believe, but he moved more than 60 times. In Vienna's city center alone, he moved 13 times.
