Bangkok and surrounds 2014 2015

A visit to catch up with family in Bangkok, to re-live past experiences and to explore familiar areas. We stayed in luxurious comfort at Villa 49 with the family and were spoiled by them all.

They took us on trips to places outside Bangkok - Chachoengsao, to see Irrawaddy River dolphins and Amphawa to the Floating Market. The dolphins at Chachoengsao remained illusive and were not to be seen but the outing was enjoyable nonetheless, especially the lovely cream and silver Wat Sothon and its remarkable marble floor with inlaid pictures of sea creatures.

The Floating Market at Amphawa is a marvellous experience, very popular with local Thai and, as yet, undiscovered by many foreign tourists. We finished our day there with a river cruise, an expansive waterway and a great way to view the whole area.

I love this gallery with all the sweet , warm moments of a family reunion and I have a pleasure to share all these happy times from yours. I don't care the dolphins !
