Cappadocia photos 2

More Cappadocia photos (Kapadokya), this time by ground, after heady balloon ride.

Layers of soft ash ("tufa") from volcano activity were covered by harder layers,
the softer material eroding, and leaving the formations we see.

Homes and underground cities were carved from this soft material.

But really,this ''stone hats'' are very confortable to live in,because they are very hot in winter-even you cen sleep with no heater or such thing-,but in summer they are cold,and refreshment. I think Cappadocia is the best place to settle...
