Lunch in an excellent small restaurant in Tavas, on the way to DalyanI think it's named "Shofak"/Sofak. Full upstairs, so we ate below. |
Arrived in Dalyan, early evening and saw this beautiful scene.Boats make island tours from this town center on the lake. |
This reminded me a little of scenes of Guilin area in China. We made plans there for a boat tour the next morning. |
First (good!) Dalyan dinner, at fantastic Beyaz (Gul?) with views of rock tombs across the river, lit at night.Below are tables by the river. At first, I thought the rock tombs across were not
real, but an emulation; however, they're the actual ones that draw people to Dalyan. |
Great food, still cooking at our tables, very reasonably priced, at $9 each. This was with excellent service in a top location (right across from the main attraction).
We just happened on the place and couldn't believe our good luck. |
Still a lot left in the pot too |
Hotel Kilim's pleasant breakfast, bar, and pool area. |
The room at Kilim Hotel, with a BBC English news channel too. |
They made a mistake in the reservations so brought me this. |
One of two sweet dogs at Hotel Kilim |

"Bottom" of the main street, leading to town's center. This street was filled with restaurants. |
Closer to the center of Dalyan, still on the main street. |
