A bit of a departure from the usual PotD stuff if recent days really just to prove I do still have my mobility and am not afraid to expose myself to the natural elements. This is one of the 'Real Time Displays', as featured in this week's local Journal, that have been installed at bus stops along the Grantham to Lincoln route. Some people will tell you Grantham is behind the times and not so long ago it was dubbed 'the the most boring town in England' by a mischievous national newspaper. However these signs are using cutting edge satellite technology to read information from buses so anxious bus passengers will be able to check whether there will be 'one along in a minute'. The London Underground style digital signs will be up and running next month. I can't help wondering just how many people will benefit in a life changing way from this £1million scheme and if the money would be better spent tackling drug related crime that dominates the Journal pages week in, week out. Just my 2/100.
