This turned out SO awesome. I love the black and white finish. Wow!
Guest 28-Jan-2004 14:59
I gave this a try last night. It took me the first 30 captures just to time it, then of course, it was out of focus. I have a new appreciation for your effort here Ian.
Guest 27-Jan-2004 20:38
wow,Ian, perfect shot! So how big a memory card to you fill twice?? Oh the weird things we do to get a PAD!!
Guest 27-Jan-2004 19:49
Well, now I have to see if I can do this with a compact camera. I think I might get lucky on the timing, but I doubt the image will look as good as this does overall.

Incredible capture Ian. I will have to play around with the droplet thing this weekend, when I have time to do it again and again and again!
Guest 27-Jan-2004 15:07
Great shot!

Like the nature pogrammes we watch we (the viewer) don't see/know how long it took to get that great shot. Well done Ian a brilliant photo.

Beautiful capture.

Very nice capture...sometimes those shots that take forever to get are well worth it.

Kicking my heels..I have shot images upon image upon image of water droplets from my shower, my faucet in kitchen, faucet in bthroom...NONE of them turned out..Ummm didnt use a flash however. I still doubt that I could do this. JEALOUS I am...

This is just so Ian! Fabulous.
Guest 26-Jan-2004 19:32
Right ok! Thanks for filling me in!
Ian Chappell26-Jan-2004 19:06
Al.. It's the split second speed of the flash that freeze frames the droplet, not the shutter speed in this case, you should be able to do this with your 300D and the 420EX!
Linda A26-Jan-2004 19:02
Phwoar - perfect!
Guest 26-Jan-2004 18:57
Another great shot Ian. I would have thought you might need a faster shutter speed than 1/200s but this shows how wrong I am!
Nicely done...
Guest 26-Jan-2004 18:56

As Dan Maskell would have said "I say, this is extraordinary!" Did you have to recharge your battery as well?
