Via Marcello Benedetto, Milano, Lombardia, Italia

If you been viewing this gallery sequentially, you've seen this building before. Specifically, it's the building that una signora was riding past on a bicycle presumably heading home from her shopping. More specifically, it is Via Marcello Benedetto, 93.

Yes, all of it. It's not a tall building, but it is a long one.

Nearest to me is the Brasserie Mediterranea. This is another restaurant that would be well worth visiting had I lived in one of the apartments in the area, with a rating of over 4 on both Google and Trip Advisor. Naturally, it specialises in seafood and based on the customer photographs, does it very well.

After that we have Wineoclock. Based on its LinkedIn page (because hey, why WOULDN'T you have a LinkedIn page?), its mission is as follows: "Wineoclock strives to bring to the international wine markets the finest Italian wines economically and efficiently." Apparently it deals in more esoteric wines, and just as apparently does it quite well considering that it has a rating of 5 on Trip Advisor, and 4.9 on Google.

Beyond that we have a sign which reads " Cesteria & Terracotta", which was partly visible in the earlier photo. "Cesteria" refers to the art of basket weaving and the creation of similar objects. This apparently is the entrance way to a business called "La vecchia Cesteria Milano" (very loosely translated, "the old basket weaving shop"). Although the address on their website does show Via Marcello Benedetto, 93, the main entrance and showroom appears to face Via Errico Petrella around the corner, since the building seems to straddle the entire block or at least a substantial part of it.

A bit further beyond we can see the New Gandhi Indian Restaurant. Yes, another Indian restaurant when there are another 3 just around the corner. This one is the first blot on the copybook since the reviews on both Google and Trip Advisor give it a score no higher than 3. Interestingly many of the reviews that gave it ratings of either 1 or 2 came from people with Indian sounding names.

There seems to be considerably less demarcation between commercial and residential areas in Milano than you'll see in Australia. Although the lowest floor is occupied by restaurants and other shops, the upper levels do appear to be residential.
