Directly across from the hotel is a tyre seller, who I see also sells alloy wheels. ("Cerchi in lega", according to the sign; I'm not sure whether it will be readable in the final copy.) He also provides car washes.
This is very different from what we're used to in Australia where tyre vendors operate from expansive properties with warehouses of different types of tyres, and large garages in which to perform wheel balance and alignment operations. The front office alone would take up the size of a little hole in the wall like this.
Still, the owner of this business seems to be making a success of it I'm glad to say. The well planted balconies and windows speak to how easily commercial and residential places combine in Italia.
