I had no specific reason for taking this shot other than that I thought that along with the little bridge over the canal, it was fairly representative of a Venetian skyline. Most of the buildings in this shot appear to be just private residences which front the walkway named Fondamenta Zattere Allo Spirito Santo (literally, "lifeboats of the Holy Spirit... no, I have no idea either), though the building on the far right is the Academy Of Fine Arts.

As I was shooting this the boat caught a wave so if you're seeing this, odds are that it was cropped.
