In truth I have no idea whether there is a connection between the houses that we see above, and the rows of vines that we see below. In a way, it would be nice to think so; the thought that you begin your day's work by just strolling across the road into your fields and attending your plants has a certain romantic appeal.
Of course, agriculture (in whatever form) is never quite that easy. You are always concerned about pests, about a bad run of weather, about whether market prices will hold up, about your input costs… No, there is nothing romantic about life on the land. Not even in as an idyllic landscape as this.
