There are a lot of places you see which inspire you to wonder exactly why people decided to settle down there. Here, for example. Yes, it looks temperate. Yes, the mountain views are very pretty. But there's really not that much around in the way of shopping or services other than a truck stop on the intersection. I can't really imagine getting around here very much if you didn't have a car.

Still, I suppose it's nice and quiet despite the presence of the highway and the rail line.
