Our next stop of Morbegno is only about a minute away. At this point we are still in the municipality of Cosio Valtellino, just to the west of that. We're over 80km from Milano at this point and an awfully long way from Roma, though I think that the architecture here still owes more to Italia than to the Germanic states to the north. As we shall see, that will begin to change.
