Lierna is an extremely small town of just over 2000 people, about 10 to 15 km north of Lecco. (So, about 60 to 65 km north of Milan by this point.) The population has been growing steadily but unspectacularly since the end of World War II; though that's better than for many small Italian towns which have experienced a significant net loss in that time as young people move to the cities to try to find work.
I believe that this is the Parrocchia Di Sant'Ambrogio Church, which dates back to the 1620s in one form or another.
