In both senses. The colours (and indeed most of the content) of this shot was not particularly inspiring, so I decided to do some selective colouring. However, it was done with intent.

One thing that I didn't mention in the previous image is that Lecco was previously an industrial centre. As has happened with most industrial centres in the West… These days, it isn't. Of course, you need only look at the background to see that tourism is something that can replace (to some extent) the industrial jobs of old. It has the lakes, it has the mountains. If more people knew about it would probably be a popular place to unwind. I wouldn't mind spending a week or two there myself but with so much of Italy to cover I doubt it will ever be possible.

The railway shed on the far side of the lines probably harks back to those more prosperous, industrial days. As you can see, it has been allowed to degrade somewhat. I wanted to keep the colour of that just to show the extent of it.
