We took a break at the Tom Thumb coffee shop in Flinders Lane. This is one of Melbourne's many, many hole in the wall places. In addition to pretty decent coffee it serves a good range of tempting pastries, such as the Cronut (a cross between a croissant and donut) that I tried.
As with most places in the Melbourne laneways, space is at a premium. There are a couple of sidewalk tables (not visible in this shot), but also 4 or 5 tables upstairs, one of which we were lucky enough to snare.
For the most part, though, I expect that Melburnians "grab & go" from places like this.
